Students from Dobrich with a charity book bazaar in support of the Cancer Home – Varna (VIDEO)

A charity book bazaar in aid of the Cancer Home in the city of Varna has been held since the beginning of the week in Dobrich. The initiative is the Private Profiled High School “Raiko Tsonchev”. The stand is located in front of the school, opposite the Dobrich Municipality building.
This year, our school’s charity campaign is related to the Cancer Home in Varna, explained Irina Petrova, a history teacher at the high school, for the “Dobrudzha” media group. She explained that the Home is a place where psychological help is offered to cancer patients, but she intends to move it. We are also collecting a signature, which will be submitted to the Municipality of Varna. Meanwhile, through books donated by our parents, students and fellow citizens, we will also provide financial support to the home, Petrova said. The interest in the campaign is quite high, many citizens responded by signing and buying books, the teacher said.
In the beginning, despite the bad weather, there was still quite a lot of interest, said ninth-grader Kamelia Koycheva, who is among the students on duty at the stand. The most diverse are the books that are sought after. Children’s books sold the fastest.
The bazaar will be open until Tuesday inclusive. Books that become unsold will be donated.
