There is no longer a kindergarten in Trakia that is not renovated and energy independent. This was announced by the mayor of Plovdiv, Kostadin Dimitrov, during the opening of the reconstructed “Edelweiss” railway station in the “Trakia” railway station today. And he specified that this remains to be done only with the nursery “Detski Rai”.
Dimitrov was welcomed by the children and the party team according to an old Bulgarian custom with bread. With him at the ceremony were also the mayor of “Trakia” railway Georgi Gatev, the contractor of the site and the project manager, as well as municipal employees.
“For me, it is extremely important to see this site completed, because the children of Plovdiv are the most important. For this kindergarten, we had a landscape project, but also problems with leaks and construction. We have experienced all this with the entire administration. The garden is now – a little energy-dependent, which means that the director will be able to use the budget for the upgrade in childcare”, said the mayor. He thanked the company and the district administration, who have invested a lot of work and effort to realize this project .
The graduates of DG “Edelweiss” greeted the guests with an emotional program of songs and dances. As a sign of gratitude, the director of the kindergarten, Nadia Zagorska, presented statuettes with the sign of the kindergarten – edelweiss – to Mayor Kostadin Dimitgrov and his colleague Georgi Gatev.
An hour later, the renovated DG “Desislava” was opened, and this afternoon Dimitrov will also cut the ribbon on DG “Svetlina.
The three children’s playgrounds have been reconstructed and modernized under the project “Introduction of energy efficiency measures and construction of photovoltaic power plants”. The total value of the invested funds is nearly BGN 2.8 million.
With the funds, the buildings were renovated and made energy efficient after the construction of photovoltaic systems.
