It’s Palm Sunday – a beloved and colorful holiday! Burgas will celebrate with a rich program

Burgas Municipality has prepared a rich program for April 28 – Palm Sunday.

On Palm Sunday, 5 different zones will be set apart in the city center, where the events of the holiday program will take place.
The events will take place at St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, “Aleksandrovska” St., “Atanas Sirekov” Square, the garden near the Clock Tower and the garden next to the Church of the Holy Virgin.
Hundreds of children from Burgas schools and kindergartens will participate in a flower parade with lots of dancing. It will start at 11:00 a.m. from “Troikata” square and will pass along “Aleksandrovska” street to “Atanas Sirekov” square.

The art bazaar on Aleko Konstantinov Street will continue throughout the day, and from 11:00 a.m. a concert will begin there with the participation of the Sun Drops Ballet with director Maria Miteva and the Siyanie Ballet School with choreographer Gabriela Stefanova to PN “Far 1946”, as well as Vocal group for hit songs “Retro Burgas” at PN “Asen Zlatarov 1940” led by Alexander Perperiev.
Two large folklore concerts will be held on Palm Sunday in the “Meden Rudnik” complex. One stage will be located in the space between blocks 46 and 51, where there will also be an art bazaar. In the concert from 11:00 a.m. under the title “Various Flower Night” the atmosphere will be created by Orchestra “Zharava” with soloists – Irena Stankova and Lazar Nalbantov, FF “Chinkite”, VS “Primo”, Dance groups “Medeno Kotle” and Art School “Vaya” “. The organizer of the event is the “St. St. Cyril and Methodius 1985”.
The second concert in “Meden Rudnik” will take place in front of the chapel “St. Dimitar”. It will be attended by graduates of the “Dobri Chintulov” University of Burgas and their teachers – Panayot Stoychev, Tsvetelina Stoycheva, Georgi Mironski, Galya Gilova, DFG “Zvanika” at the “Paisiy Hilendarski 1928” Primary School with director Vanya Jenezova, Ladies’ Folklorna group at the “Demokratsia” retirement club, “Yasen Mesz” gaidar school at the “Paisii Hilendarski 1928” school with the teacher Georgi Mironski. The organizer of the concert is “Paisiy Hilendarski 1928” Municipal School, Burgas.

On Palm Sunday, the Burgas brass band will play again on the stage at the “Flora” Expocenter from 10:30 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. And during this time – from 11:30 a.m., a children’s workshop on planting orchids will be held. Its organizer is the First Orchid Society in Bulgaria. From 14:00 there will be a lecture and demonstration on the topic “Orchids”. From 18:00, original electronic music of Burgas artists from BORA PROJECT will be presented.

In the Center for Contemporary Art and Library – hall “Acad. Konstantin Petkanov”, from 11:00 a.m. the “Easter Bell” will be held – a children’s educational and entertainment performance at the “Pan” theater.
At 11:30 a.m., a concert will begin on Atanas Sirekov Square with the participation of: DG “Magic”, DG “Zdravets”, DG “Iglika”, Gaidar Orchestra “Mladost” at CPLR with director Georgi Georgiev, NH “Trepetlika” and DFF “Shareni Gaitani” with teacher Pepa Zapryanova, TS “Mladost” at OU “Elin Pelin” with teacher Margarita Koleva, DTS “Trakiiche Burgas” with teacher Teodora Voynova, FG “Medeni Zvncheta” at OU ” Elin Pelin” with director Kremena Didova.

Again at 11:30 a.m., but on St. St. Cyril and Methodius” begins the concert “Tsvetna Tsvetnitsa dances and sings”. It will be attended by DTS “Triptych” in Sarafovo district with the mayor Michaela Stefanova, DTS “Horce from the Heart” at the OU “Bratya Miladinovi” with the mayor Yanita Yaramova, TS “Zlaten Plamak” with the mayors Plamena Tsvetkova and Nikolay Tsvetkov, TS “Trupoliache” at SU “Episkop Konstantin Preslavski” with head Hristo Stanchev, DTS “Lakatnice” at NBU “Mikhail Lakatnik” with head Dafinka Tigerova, DFTA “Radost” and FA “Nikola Ginov” with head l Dimitar Ginov, TS “Zornitsa” at GPNE “Goethe” with rl Nikolay Parushev, DTA “Zvezdichki” at OU “St. Kliment Ohridski” with director Nikolay Parushev, DFA “Three times” and FA “Lukoil – Neftokhim” with director Mario Egov. The program also includes performances by the FTF “Zelenika” led by Maria Markova – Halacheva at the Center for Young Talents, Burgas. The presenters will be the young artists from the “Valery and Friends” youth theater troupe.
From 11:30 a.m. in the garden next to the Church of the Holy Virgin there is the concert “My cheerful, colorful and colorful city of Burgas”. It will be with the participation of the Choir of the FTA “Nikola Ginov” with conductor Penka Petrova, Vocal formation of the children’s choir “Milka Stoeva” with director Marieta Seklemova, soloists Georgi Georgiev and Tatyana Atanasova, BC “Seasons” at the “Probuda 1880″ ” – Burgas city with director Kina Hristova, soloists Beatrice Bakardzhieva, Maria Dimitrova and Rustislava Yordanova, soloists from CPLR – Burgas with director Milena Dobreva, soloists from the Tochno Vreme Art Center with director Zhenya Lalcheva, students from NUMSI “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”, majoring in pop and jazz singing. Leading the event will be actors from the Youth Theater School headed by Rumen Velev.

At 1:00 p.m. in the garden next to the Clock, the show “Colorful Theater Miniatures” will begin. It is with the participation of the Youth Theater Troupe “Valery and Friends” led by Valery Elichov, the Theater School “Usmivka” led by Rumyana Kraleva, the Youth Theater School led by Rumen Velev, the Theater School “Children’s Kingdom” at CPLR – Burgas led by Atanasia Petrova .

The evening at Atanas Sirekov Square will end with the “Multicolor Dance Kaleidoscope” show, which starts at 6:00 p.m. The Youth Wind Orchestra of NUMSI “Prof. Pancho Vladigerov”, Dance School “Estrella” with director Olga Mohova, KST “Burgas 1975” with directors Andrey Todorov and Trayana Zelyamova, Dance Studio 29 with directors Diana Nikolova and Vladimir Grudev, Sports Acrobatics Club “Neftokhimik 2011”, Dance School “Chris” with director Loreta Yovcheva, Dance School “D&G” Burgas with directors Galina Madzharova and Delyana Kazakova, colorful tik-tok together with zumba instructor Maria Avramova. Leading the event will be young actors from the “Valery and Friends” youth theater troupe.
