A few days remain until the third edition of the festival, which preserves and promotes Bulgarian folklore and introduces us to the song and dance richness of the peoples living along the Danube. This year, we will see a record number of participants – over 600 – on the open stage in the Danube Park. During the three festival days, independent groups from the Vidin region and guests from Romania, Serbia and Hungary will perform.

Traditionally, each of the festival evenings will offer exciting concert programs starting at 8:00 p.m. On Friday (September 2), the Danube Folk Song and Dance Ensemble will immerse us in the magic of folklore. A special guest for the first time in Vidin will be Petya Paneva, who won the hearts and votes of the viewers in the show “The Voice of Bulgaria”. The talented keyboard player Mitko Denev will be her partner on the stage of the “Blue Danube” IFF.

The International Folklore Festival will also be a real celebration for children. A workshop will be organized especially for them every day in the Danube Park. On Saturdays and Sundays, small visitors will be able to participate in a children’s club. The organizers will present the children with two puppet shows.
