A yellow code has been announced for Plovdiv and 13 other regions of the country. Intense rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms is expected. After noon and until midnight in the region of Plovdiv there will be local intense, significant precipitation (25-30 mm), accompanied by thunderstorms. Intense rainfall and thunderstorms will continue overnight Friday, NIMH reports.
Maximum temperatures for Thursday will remain around 30-31 degrees, but a significant drop is expected on Friday.
Clear weather will prevail over most of the country and it will be mostly sunny in the morning. Cloudiness will be more significant mainly over the northwestern and extreme southeastern regions, and in some places there will be short-term precipitation accompanied by thunder. Around and after noon, many places across the country will develop cumulus and cumulus clouds. There will be short-term rains and thunderstorms, mainly in the mountainous regions in Western and Central Bulgaria, there are conditions for local intense phenomena. On the night of Friday, there will be intense phenomena in more places in the western half of the country. The wind will gradually move from the north-northeast, it will be weak, in Eastern Bulgaria – to moderate. The maximum temperatures will be between 25° and 30°, in the southeastern regions up to 33°, in Sofia – about 25°. Atmospheric pressure will decrease and will be lower than the average for September.
Cumulus and cumulus-rain clouds will begin to develop over the mountains before noon. In the morning in some areas, and around and after noon in many places, there will be short-term precipitation accompanied by thunder. In the massifs in Western and Central Bulgaria, there are conditions for the phenomena to be intense. It will blow to a moderate wind with a southerly component, but with the development of cumulus clouds there will be temporary increases. The maximum temperature at 1200 meters will be around 21°, at 2000 meters – around 14°.
Cumulus and cumulus-rain clouds will develop along the Black Sea. There will be brief showers accompanied by thunder. In some areas there are conditions for more intense phenomena. A moderate wind will blow mainly from the north-northeast. The maximum temperatures will be 26°-28°, close to sea water temperature. The excitement of the sea before noon will be about 2 points, by the evening it will increase to 3 points.
