Bulgaria finished in 20th place at the 2022 World Cup

European champion Italy won convincingly against China 3:0 (25:14, 25:10, 25:14) and qualified for the round of 16 of the Men’s Volleyball World Championship without losing a game.

The Azzurri finished in first place in Group E with a total asset of 9 points, and the team of Turkey continues forward, which remained second with 6 points after success in its last match of the first phase against Canada with 3:0 (25 :23, 25:23, 25:17).

Italy will play Cuba in the round of 16, and Turkey will face the USA.

The European champion for 2019, Serbia triumphed in group “A” also with full assets after 3:0 (29:27, 25:15, 25:17) over Tunisia in the third round. The Africans also continue in the eliminations as one of the best third teams.

Ukraine finished in second place after defeating Puerto Rico 3:1 (24:26, 25:19, 25:16, 25:19).

In the round of 16, Serbia’s opponent will be Argentina, Ukraine will play against the Netherlands, and Tunisia will play against defending champion Poland.

The Netherlands won Group F after a 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 25-20, 25-18) win over Iran, with the Asians also finishing second and also through to the round of 16. Argentina won against Egypt 3:2 (27:25, 26:28, 24:26, 25:17, 15:6) and continues in the eliminations.

Bulgaria missed a golden chance to be in the round of 16 at the 2022 World Cup

Iran will play Brazil for a place in the quarterfinals.

Bulgaria finished bottom of Group C after losses to Poland (0:3), USA (0:3) and Mexico (2:3) and remained in 20th place in the final ranking of 24 teams.
