The Bulgarian national football team will play two controls in November, in the days before the final preparations for the start of the World Cup.
While other countries are preparing for the World Cup, the home team will play matches against Cyprus and Luxembourg.
In both matches, the home team will be a guest, and as much as it is unpleasant for us to admit it, these are the teams of our level, at least according to what Bulgaria has shown in recent months.
The match in Cyprus will be on November 16, and the one in Luxembourg on November 20 – the opening day of the World Cup.
In contrast to the current situation, before the start of Euro 2020, the BFS managed to arrange three prestigious controls against teams participating in the forum, and then within a week, Bulgaria faced Slovakia, Russia and France.
Now the situation is different, and these rivals may have been chosen at the insistence of the new selector Mladen Krstaich. He will make his debut in charge of Bulgaria on September 23 when they host Gibraltar before visiting North Macedonia in Skopje three days later.
By the time of the controls with Cyprus and Luxembourg, Bulgaria will already know its rivals for the European qualifiers, the draw for which will be drawn on October 9 in Frankfurt.
