The Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP) will implement a BGN 26.7 million project aimed at cooperatives, specialized enterprises for people with disabilities and other subjects of the social and solidarity economy. It will be implemented under the Recovery and Resilience Mechanism of the European Recovery Plan.
By providing the opportunity for the development of these enterprises, we enable people with a vulnerable social situation and people with disabilities to be an adequate part of the life of the country, to participate in the economy and thus have an independent life”. This was announced by the acting Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Policy Lazar Lazarov at the opening of the second “COOP FEST BANK 2022”, informed by MTSP.
The modernization of at least 100 enterprises is planned. The amount provided for each of them is BGN 90,000 for the introduction of software, hardware, network and placement solutions. “The project will make it possible through the digital platform to promote online trade that will be built and through the focal points that will be located in the planning areas, the production of all organizations of people with disabilities and cooperative unions will become available to all “, explained Deputy Minister Nadia Klisurska. It is expected that this will increase their competitiveness and market integration, and hence the quality of life of vulnerable groups.
The “COOP FEST BANK 2022” initiative takes place in the period 1 – 4 September with the aim of creating a favorable environment for the expression of people with disabilities and their active inclusion in public initiatives.
