The Joint Coordination Center (JCC) in Istanbul allowed the departure of eight more ships from Ukrainian ports to transport a total of 158,075 tons of food from the country, including to Bulgaria, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.

The ships “Nord Virgo” and “Fulmar S” will depart from Yuzhniy port and deliver 62,340 tons of corn and 9,835 tons of sunflower meal to China and Bulgaria, respectively. The ships “Mubariz Ibrahimov” and “Stella GS” will sail from Odessa to Turkey and Israel with 6,600 tons of sunflower oil and 30,300 tons of corn, respectively.

The ships “Katsuyama” (with 21,000 tons of sunflower oil for India), “Mavka” (with 12,500 tons of oil for Romania), “Spring” (with 8,500 tons of wheat for Turkey) and “Ganga Star” with 7,000 tons of rape for France.

The ships are expected to depart today. In addition, the ship “Afanasiy Matyushenko” with 3,000 tons of wheat will leave Chernomorsk for Turkey, whose departure, originally scheduled for Tuesday, was postponed.

On July 22, a package of documents for the supply of food and fertilizers to the international market was signed in Istanbul. Based on an agreement between Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the UN, the SCC was established to provide checks on grain ships, specifically to prevent provocations and arms smuggling. The UN’s goal is for exports to reach 2 to 5 million tons of food per month.
