Thursday was the last day of the summer transfer window in most of Europe’s major leagues. As usual, it was extremely interesting and some interesting deals resulted.
There have been quite a few transfers so far, with the biggest being Erling Haaland (Manchester City), Anthony and Casemiro (Manchester United), Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko (Arsenal), Raheem Sterling and Wesley Fofana (Chelsea), Robert Lewandowski and Jules Kunde (Barcelona), Sadio Mane (Bayern), Darwin Nunes (Liverpool).
On the last day, among the most intriguing transfers were those of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Denis Zakaria to Chelsea, respectively from Barcelona and Juventus, Artur Melo to Liverpool also from Juventus, Hector Bayern to Barcelona, Serginho Dest to Milan and Martin Dubravka to Manchester United.

02:48 – It’s official! Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has joined Chelsea from Barcelona. The former Arsenal striker has signed a two-year deal. According to the information, the “blues” sent 10.3 million pounds for the 33-year-old Gabonese. Chelsea thus spent a total of £278.4m this summer.

01:35 – Officially: Barcelona have announced the return of Hector Bayern, who arrives back at Camp Nou as a free agent after his contract with Arsenal was terminated by mutual consent. The full-back signed with the “Catalans” until the summer of 2023, and his buyout clause is 50 million euros.
01:27 – Officially: Wolverhampton have signed Metz midfielder Boubacar Traore on a season-long loan with an option to buy for €11m.
01:24 – Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi will not join Nottingham Forest.
01:20 – Official: Defender Douillet Chaleta-Tsar passed his medical at Southampton and signed with the Saints, who paid €10m for him. The Croatian signed a four-year contract.
01:17 – Aston Villa have officially signed defender Jan Bednarek from Southampton on a season-long loan.
01:14 – Fulham have announced the signing of striker Carlos Vinicius from Benfica.
01:10 – Lille have signed midfielder Andre Gomes from Everton on a season-long loan.
01:05 – James Garner has moved from Manchester United to Everton. The Caramels will pay 9 million pounds plus bonuses for him, and the amount could reach 15 million. The midfielder signed a contract for four years.

11.10pm – Arsenal are now ready to pay £23m plus £2m in bonuses for Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Lewis. The Villans are considering the offer and their position could change after signing Leander Dendoncker from Wolverhampton.
23:09 – Official: AC Milan have signed defender Sergio Dest on loan from Barcelona
22:17 – Officially: Leander Dendoncker was signed by Aston Villa for the sum of 13 million pounds from Wolverhampton. The 27-year-old Belgian international has made over 150 appearances for Wolves. The midfielder can also be used as a central defender.
22:16 – Officially: Spanish midfielder Carlos Soler has joined Paris Saint-Germain from Valencia
21:25 – Nottingham Forest are close to signing Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea, according to Fabrizio Romano.

18:40 – The transfer of Ajax midfielder Edson Alvarez to Chelsea is currently in doubt. The Blues have made a £43m bid for the Mexico international, but Ajax want to keep hold of Alvarez after selling Antoni to Manchester United earlier this week. Alvarez himself did not take part in Amsterdam training this morning and wants to join Chelsea.
18:38 – Official! Premier League newcomer Fulham have officially announced the loan signing of defender Lewin Kurzawa from Paris Saint-Germain.
18:37 – Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano claims midfielder Frenkie de Jong will stay at Barcelona. He adds that the Dutchman was never tempted by the interest of Manchester United and Chelsea.
18:36 – Arsenal are set to make an improved bid worth £25m for Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Lewis soon.

17:50 – Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reports that Manchester United’s wanted Serginho Dest has opted to join AC Milan. The Barcelona and USA right-back will join the Italian champions initially on loan for the current season, with the Rossoneri having an option to buy his rights for €20m next summer.
