As of today, work has started on the next section between “Pazardzhishko” and “Peshtersko Shosse”. It will be closed and traffic will be diverted through Plovdiv. The deadline for the implementation of the activities is September 30, 2022.
The construction works are part of the phased repair of more than 14 km of the Plovdiv Ring Road (road II-86), which began in 2021. Last year, nearly 8 km of the route between “Komatevsko” and “Asenovgradsko shose” were renewed. The repair works include the execution of earthworks to improve drainage, strengthening of the road structure, laying of new base and wearing asphalt layers, making of concrete ditches, diversions and locks, new horizontal marking, restriction systems and signs.
The repair of the section of the ring road between “Pazardzhishko shose” street in Plovdiv and AM “Trakia” (road III-805) continues. Milling of the pavement was carried out, a layer of loose asphalt concrete was laid and drainage was improved. Until the completion of the repair works, the traffic will pass through the city of Plovdiv.
The Road Infrastructure Agency apologizes to drivers for the inconvenience caused during travel, but the actions taken are imperative to ensure safe passage along the sections.
