Alexandrina Pandurska – a mother from Blagoevgrad, reports to the BNR about poorly maintained playgrounds
“There is a particularly high level of wear and tear on playgrounds, either because of vandals or due to natural wear and tear of the facilities. The reason is not important. The problem is that these facilities are dangerous! In many places there are even metal elements sticking out of the ground because it is the old facility has been removed, but a new one has not been put in. There are promises from the municipality to set aside a budget, there may be a separate budget, but I still don’t see any action and that worries me. I immediately want at least safety action.”
The municipality assured us that the sites will be cleaned as soon as possible, the missing elements will be replaced with new ones, and the control will be increased. 88 of the 122 sites do not meet the requirements, but the materials have been ordered and are expected to arrive in the coming week.
