The rescue teams have been in Karlovsko since the beginning of the disaster. It’s scary. There’s obviously going to be massive damage. As an executive, we do everything we can to help people. This was stated by the spokesman of the office, Anton Kutev, in the program “More of the Day” on BNT.
“We have a hard winter ahead of us. This is the result of everything that was done or not done about natural gas supplies. The price of the agreed gas for the two tankers is well over 400 BGN. That’s how the contracts were concluded. All supplies have yet to be re-negotiated. There are still risks that Bulgaria will be left without gas in the winter,” he revealed.
“The termination of supplies by Gazprom is a political decision. We try to negotiate with everyone. The gas connection is not ready, it is on Act 15. We have calculated that the gas connection will start by October 1. We are engaged in the finishing works of the gas connection from the very beginning,” the caretaker government spokesman also stated.
“Azerbaijani gas is cheaper, but it cannot satisfy the entire market. He can get into the mix. Other supplies must be sought. We are looking for all possibilities. It is false that there are unloading slots provided. There was one and it was used,” explained Anton Kutev.
“Obviously, with the gas that was supplied by the previous government, there is no way some of the businesses can continue to operate. We have no intention of changing the geopolitical orientation of Bulgaria. We do not want to make new contracts with Gazprom, but to ensure gas until the end of the year, and at the lowest price. That is the job of the next government. We will not allow the business to go bankrupt,” assured Kutev.
He emphasized that the official cabinet does not staff or govern with revanchism.
