Three people were injured in two accidents in Svilengradsko, reported the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Haskovo.

One incident occurred on 09/02/2022, at around 10:26 a.m., on the “Maritsa” highway, in the direction of Svilengrad, with a BMW X3 car driven by a 61-year-old Turkish citizen. When driving at a speed inconsistent with the relief of the area, the driver lost control of the steering, hit an elastic fence and overturned outside the traffic lane. As a result of the impact, the driver and a 55-year-old passenger in the car were injured. Both were examined in Haskovo hospital and discharged for home treatment, without danger to life. The driver tested negative for alcohol. An act and a finding report were drawn up for him.

The other incident took place on 09/04/2022 at around 5:30 p.m. in Svilengrad, at the intersection of “Knyaz Boris I” Street. The accident occurred between a BMW 530 car driven by a 24-year-old man from the city and a Honda Foreside motorcycle driven by a 23-year-old man from the city. The driver of the motorcycle went around cars stopped on the right and collided with the car moving on the opposite side, in which he was injured. He was examined at the Svilengrad hospital and released for home treatment, without danger to his life. Both drivers were tested for the use of alcohol with a drager, which read 0.00 per thousand.
