A rich program Varna will mark 137 years of the Unification of Bulgaria. The celebrations will begin at 09:30 with a commemoration in front of the memorial plaque of Prince Alexander Battenberg on Independence Square.

Program for September 6 – 137 years since the Unification of Bulgaria:

9.30 a.m. Commemoration of 6 September 1885;

Place: The memorial plaque of Prince Alexander Battenberg on Independence Square;

9:50 a.m. Procession from the memorial plaque of Prince Alexander Battenberg, along “Maria Luiza” Blvd. to the monument to those who died in the Serbo-Bulgarian War;

10.00 a.m. Funeral prayer, laying of wreaths with military ritual;

Place: The monument to those who died in the Serbo-Bulgarian war

2:00 p.m. XVI Regional Folk Art Festival “Songs on the Shore”, with the participation of amateur ensembles and performers from the municipalities of the Varna Region;

Place: Stage “Rakovina”;

Organizer: People’s Community Center “Macedonia – 2005”

18:00 – Reenactment of the events of 1885

Place: Independence Square
