“DPS has never drawn dividing lines. The only red line we have set was against nationalist representations”. This was stated at the opening of the DPS election campaign in Momchilgrad by the deputy chairman of the party and mayor of Kardzhali Dr. Eng. Hasan Azis. He recalled that in the last 10 years, the DPS gave important political messages related to normality in politics and the restoration of statehood.
“We are talking about restoring the dialogue between the institutions and in society. Because the years of opposition in the parliament are also reflected among the people,” said Dr. Eng. Hassan Aziz.
The opening of the campaign was attended by many members and sympathizers of DPS. Here were the candidates for people’s representatives Mukkades Nalbant, Adlen Shefked, Yusein Ahmed, Zulfie Ibryamova, the mayor of the Momchilgrad municipality Ilknur Kyazim, the regional chairman of the Youth DPS Ersin Yumer, one of the iconic names of the DPS – the former deputy Remzi Osman, repressed by the communist regime.
“We are opening the campaign in a landmark place in Momchilgrad – in the city park named after Nuri Adal. He is a man who devoted his whole life to resistance against the totalitarian regime, which had literally crushed the rights and freedoms of ordinary people. Almost 33 years after the democratic changed, these ordinary people were again forgotten by the rulers. The previous government never once listened to the problems of small settlements. It is time for Bulgaria to have an adequate government that hears the voice of all Bulgarian citizens and works with care for the people,” he said the mayor of Momchilgrad municipality Ilknur Kyazim.
The regional leader of the DPS, Resmi Murad, indicated that the DPS highly appreciates the work of the people’s representatives from Kardzhali in the 45th, 46th and 47th parliaments. “I believe that with our candidates we will achieve even better success. The voters were convinced of the quality of our candidates and the policy of the DPS”, noted Resmi Murad.
“Power is not given for nothing. It is given if you have gained the trust of the voters. The more votes and deputies we have, the more doors to enter the country’s management will be more widely opened. And you know that when the DPS participates in the management of the country, Bulgaria has always moved forward,” said Mukaddes Nalbant, second on the list.
“I believe that with joint efforts we will once again greet each other with success in order to achieve the goals we have set for ourselves,” said Yussain Ahmed.
“In order to achieve success, we must all put in maximum effort together and reach every single one of our voters, even in the smallest populated place,” said the municipal leader of the DPS in Momchilgrad, Ayhan Osman, and called on Momchilgrad residents to vote with no. 1.
At the end of the event, former Chief Mufti Fikri Sali offered a prayer for the success of the candidates for MPs.
