Political comments on Union Day as well.

Former Prime Minister Kiril Petkov laid flowers at the monument of Stefan Stambolov and presented his reading of the country’s problems.

“Even today, we Bulgarians are dreaming. We dream of better education, better healthcare, better roads and infrastructure in Bulgaria, better incomes. In response to these dreams, I will end with the words of Stefan Stambolov: “I believe that Bulgaria will emerge whole from the current crisis,” said Kiril Petkov.

And on Unification Day, GERB leader Boyko Borisov did not spare his criticism of the former rulers.

“For 5-6 months, the only thing they managed to fix was to fix – in quotes – the prices of electricity, gas and gasoline. We are so much better. To admit it, to come and tell them how it goes. This is the unification”, said Boyko Borisov.

The leaders of the other parties, which are expected to enter the next parliament, sent messages of unity on social networks. Kornelia Ninova wrote that “our strength lies in unity and in our country deciding its own future”.

“Today it is important to think about the new union, which we must achieve and which we no longer have any time to postpone”, wrote the co-chairman of “Democratic Bulgaria” Hristo Ivanov on Facebook.

And according to Mustafa Karadai, Bulgaria is in a spiral of crises, the solution of which requires political wisdom and overcoming the dividing lines.

Slavi Trifonov chose on the holiday to give an interview to the viewers of his television – 7/8. He explained when a referendum could be organized.

“An initiative committee should be created to submit the documents to the parliament. Parliament to approve. We will implement this thing, because it is so”, said Slavi Trifonov.

Kostadin Kostadinov wrote that if we are united, there is no force that can break our people.

And Stefan Yanev called on all Bulgarians to have faith that they can take their destiny into their own hands.
