- For now, they will not introduce question papers with topics from different subjects
- 57,000 first graders with first day of school today
There will be no change in exams after 7th grade this academic year. The tests in Bulgarian language and literature and in mathematics remain, there will be no combined questionnaires with topics from different subjects. This became clear at the meeting of the Sofia school directors.
Before the beginning of the school year, there was a statutory possibility, by decision of the Minister of Education, to introduce the so-called integrated exams. This means that, in addition to Bulgarian, there could also be questions on history, for example. Physics problems could appear in mathematics. More than 57,000 first graders are expected to start school today. Nearly 717,000 are all students who will study in the new 2022/2023 academic year. This was announced by the Ministry of Education and Science.
A total of 46 educational institutions from 14 regions will open the school year in other buildings, the most common reason for this being ongoing renovations. Among them are 18 schools from 9 regions of the country.
All students and teachers are provided with conditions for conducting a normal educational process. The school year will start everywhere. Measures have been taken to protect the health of children and students.
The latest check by “24 Chasa” showed that for the first day of school, parents of first-graders spent between BGN 100 and BGN 1,100, depending on the quality and brand of the items purchased.
