The district governors of Burgas – Prof. Maria Neikova, Sliven – Mincho Afuzov, Yambol – Georgi Chalakov and Haskovo – Eng. Minko Angelov, as well as the director of the YUIDP – Eng. Dimcho Radev, held a working meeting today in the Burgas Regional Administration.

At the meeting, initiated by Maria Neikova, solutions were sought for the restoration of frontal and rolling forest roads in the 30-kilometer border zone of the RDGP Elhovo according to the instructions given by the Minister of Internal Affairs.

The roads in need of repair have a total length of 230 km. According to previously prepared estimates, the amount needed for the repair works is over BGN three million.

One of the problems is related to the ownership of specified roads.

For the most part, the property is non-state owned, that is, they are not managed by the USDP and funds cannot be invested in the repair of foreign property.

In view of the different owners, the short deadlines and the planned large volume of work, as well as in view of the upcoming winter period, the regional governors and the director of the RDHP united around the decision to urgently repair the most urgent sections of frontal and rock forest roads in the 30-kilometer border zone of the RDHP – Elhovo.

The activities include cleaning ditches, forming a road bed and scraping and leveling black forest roads at an estimated cost of BGN 300,000.

The funds will be provided by the Interdepartmental Commission for Recovery and Assistance under the Council of Ministers.
