Fine art has found its cozy place among the books in the “Dimitar Talev” Regional Library – Blagoevgrad. An exciting exhibition with dozens of beautiful paintings and wood carvings by self-taught artists opened yesterday in the lobby of the largest reading room in Western Bulgaria.

The initiator of the cultural event is Iliyan Sinadinov, who provided the works for the exhibition from his personal collection. Among them, the most are those of his father Dimitar Sinadinov – a self-taught artist, woodcarver and sculptor, but there are also other masters of the brush from all over the country.

“The library is always open to such initiatives and always assists in their implementation. We are glad that Mr. Sinadinov trusted us and decided to make this very interesting and inspiring exhibition right here. I believe that no one will remain indifferent to the talent of the authors who put their ideas, heart and soul into the drawings”Katya Nedeva from the “Art” department shared at the opening.

Iliyan Sinadinov emphasized that he was nurtured with a love for art by his father. He did not inherit his artist gene, but he has a cause to help self-taught masters of the brush, to buy their paintings and to take constant care of their maintenance.

It is by no means easy to be a collector because it requires a lot of desire, time and energy. But it’s important for me to show the talent and paintings of these artists”Iliyan Sinadinov also said.

Fine art connoisseurs will be able to see drawings from different genres – still life, landscape, portrait. The exhibition will remain in the library until October 15th.
