I came across an interesting post on social networks Sofia24.bg. It is about a woman who tries to earn a little money with honest work to live. She did not go out to beg, but sold aloe, herbs and hand-knitted hats, gloves and socks in a metropolitan underpass.
This is what the author of the shot wrote on the Facebook social network:
“I saw this grandmother in the underpass of Mall Bulgaria… She sells aloe, herbs and hand-knitted hats, gloves and socks… People passed her by. I stopped next to her. He asked me if I wanted to buy something. I didn’t need anything, but I bought it. I asked her if she was here often and she said almost every day. The pension was terribly small and he had to do something to support himself…
I told her that I would put it on social media so that other people could help her and buy something from her. He didn’t seem to understand what I was going to do, but he wished me well. I wished her that everything would be bought by the end of the day… She looked at me in disbelief… But I know that the power of social networks is great and that there are many good people who can spend 2-3 BGN each.
It’s very sad to see elderly people in such a situation… It’s hard. But if everyone helps a little, maybe things will get better“.
