A few days before the beginning of the school year, Kiara Nikolova participated in a national series of concerts of the Vidin Philharmonic under the title “Love, Love”. The concerts in Vidin, Sofia and Kyustendil were a great success, with a large audience, applause and flowers. The program included works by Chopin, Puccini, Massenet, Mascagni, Lehar, Gershwin and other, thematically selected musical masterpieces. Together with Kiara, her father was on stage – the famous tenor Mario Nikolov, the soprano Svetlana Ivanova, the pianist Durata Lazo, the musicians from the Vidin Philharmonic, under the baton of Peter Dimitrov.
Kiara’s performances of “Reflection” by J. Masne and “Sevdana” by G. Zlatev-Cherkin charmed the audience and the participating musicians, who heartily supported her and applauded every time she went on stage.
Kiara Nikolova is a student in the 8th grade of the “L. Pipkov” NMU in Sofia, in the class of the famous violin teacher Blagorodna Taneva. This year, Kiara turned 14, and she already has a number of awards from our and international competitions. In addition to prizes, she received invitations to participate in gala concerts in New York, Sarajevo, Venice, etc.
In the summer, the young violinist perfected her skills in the master classes of Angelina Abadzhieva, Blagorodna Taneva, Dimitar Burov and participated in concerts, part of the festival program of “Sofia Music Week”, “Varna Summer”, “Solinaria” and “Struma Scenes”.
