Thanks to a project financed by the Bulgarian Development Assistance, one of the most delicious Italian cheeses – ricotta and pecorino – is produced in a small Jordanian village, according to a Facebook post of the Bulgarian Embassy in Jordan.

On Thursday, September 22, Ambassador Dimitar Mihailov and representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Jordan visited the village of Ader, Karak district and reported the results and development of the activities of the project “Strengthening the primary sector in the rural areas of Karak”.

It is carried out jointly with the Association “Habibi Valtiberina” (Hava).

To date, all the basic equipment for the farm has been financed – the land has been leased, construction materials have been purchased and a metal fence has been built. Very soon the milk will be obtained from the farmed sheep. Work is provided for people from the village. They acquire skills that will make them competitive in the job market. The production of milk and milk products will contribute to the development of the primary sector of the country’s economy, the publication also states.
