In “Because I Love Bad Weather” Neda Spasova and Vladimir Mihailov enter into the images of Irina and Borisfriends who haven’t seen each other in over 20 years and now happen to be at the same time in the small seaside town where they spent their summers together as children.
The screenwriter and director of the film is Yana Lekarska, who graduated in film directing in South Korea. This is her first project of this scale in Bulgaria, and the Korean influence is felt in the vision of each frame.
Warm, human, tender, romantic and makes you smile, think, remember and fill you with hope – this is how the viewers who have already seen it during the International Competition of this year’s Sofia Film Fest and gave it Festival Audience Award.
