Several people were injured during the filming of a new movie starring Hollywood star Eddie Murphy.
The accident happened during the filming of an action scene, reports the Associated Press (AP) agency, citing Amazon MGM Studios, quoted by BTV.
A car and a truck collided. The team’s injuries ranged from bruises to broken bones.
“Unfortunately, the sequence of the stunts did not go according to plan and as a result several people from the team were injured,” the studio reports, adding that the case is yet to be clarified.
So far, all that is known is that the action scene was pre-rehearsed and all safety rules were followed. Fortunately, Eddie Murphy himself, as well as the other Hollywood stars in the film – such as Kiki Palmer, Eva Longoria and Pete Davidson – were not on the set at the time.
The incident happened during the filming of the crime comedy “The Pickup” near Atlanta in the US state of Georgia.
The plot of the film is being kept under wraps, but insiders say it’s a heist.
