After Bruce Dickinson surprised the entire rock and metal world in September by announcing an upcoming solo album and tour dates in Latin America, today we can also confirm a concert date in Bulgaria, as well as additional details about The Mandrake Project. The first single from it will be “Afterglow of Ragnarok” – an anticipated dramatic and epic track that introduces fans not only to the sound of the album, but also to the fascinating story behind The Mandrake Project. The song is out on December 1st on a collectible 7-inch LP, accompanied by an eight-page comic. The single also features Dickinson’s original solo demo version of “If Eternity Should Fail”, which first appeared on Iron Maiden’s 2015 album The Book Of Souls.
Having already announced dates in Brazil and Mexico for April and May next year, Bruce Dickinson and his phenomenal band – featuring guitarist Roy Z, drummer Dave Moreno, bassist Tanya O’Callaghan and keyboard maestro Mishteria – continue their tour is with a series of European concerts, part of which is the Sofia date – July 16, 2024.
Dickinson shares, “This album has been a very personal journey for me and I’m extremely proud of it. Roy Z and I have been planning, writing and recording it for years and I’m very excited for people to finally hear it. I’m even more excited at the prospect of going out and presenting it with this amazing band and live! Obviously we’re going to play as many shows as possible, in as many places as possible, for as many people as possible!”
The Mandrake Project will be Dickinson’s seventh solo album and his first since 2005’s Tyranny Of Souls, and will be released by BMG worldwide.
