Over the years, the chalga became industrialized and managed to infect public relations in our country like a “red wind”. This was commented by the journalist and public figure Ivaylo “Noisy” Tsvetkov in front of Konstantin Valkov on Darik’s “Staircase” show.

He emphasized that he avoids nostalgia, although he sometimes goes back years.

“We had a project and a cause, it was paper times, but there is a dose of nostalgia, especially in the urban environment,” comments Noisy.

“I see a disenchanted Bulgaria. Mainly in relation to one’s hope for the future, if at all, of course, it can be generalized. Because, you know, generalization is not a sign of the highest intelligence. But if parallels are to be drawn, then we really, here for the convenience of using the term “urban intelligentsia”, really believed that things would go in the direction of, if not Austria, then at least Slovakia or something like that. And especially with regard to media environment, political nature and relations, as they were developing in Bulgaria. But for one reason or another, this did not happen”.

It turned out that we were suffering from some temporary “cold of idealism” and it gradually passed

“There are also cultural layers, because after all, we are talking about times when the digital revolution was yet to come in all its forms. Starting with universal access to the Internet and ending with social networks. Having a computer in your hand was still unthinkable.

Second cultural layer – we were like David against Goliath, some fighters against the chalga that was emerging at that time. We wanted her to be ostracized from everywhere and sit in the appropriate places of amusement. And it happened quite the opposite”.

“It seeped in somehow, it affected. He drew some elementary thought patterns, without knowing that they were such, which in an imitative way affected the way of thinking at the entire cultural level of the following generations. This is not an indictment of the generations. If we make a connection with today’s time, especially after the last year, it became clear that we urban idealists and rural tariqats are also super doomed to live in a model that not only cannot be destroyed.

I suspect he appeals largely to power as a vertical down. In this sense, a disenchantment occurs for people like us, who really believed in the “blue idea” at the time, etc. And in the end, to put it simply, it didn’t turn out exactly like that,” he added.
