The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed that a Russian ship was damaged by a Ukrainian missile attack opposite the “Zaliv” shipyard in Kerch, writes the Russian service of the “BBC”
A statement from the Ministry of Defense said that the attack was carried out with 15 missiles, 13 of which were shot down.
It is not known which ship was damaged.
Earlier, the Air Force Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Mykola Oleshchuk said that the Zaliv plant was fired upon by Ukrainian cruise missiles. According to him, at that time there was one of the most modern Russian ships – the carrier of the “Caliber” missiles.
Oleschuk also hinted that SCALP missiles supplied by Western allies were used in the strike.
Later the Commander of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Nikolay Oleshchuk confirmed damage to a Russian missile carrier in a shipyard in Kerch.
“I confirm,” Oleschuk wrote on his Telegram channel on Sunday morning.
It is not yet known for sure which ship it is and how severe the damage he received was.
