According to 100% of the processed protocols, GERB won the elections in 12 regional cities, and the PP-DB coalition – in four, while the BSP will have mayors in three cities.
GERB won the mayoral race in Burgas (still in the first round), Veliko Tarnovo, Vratsa (in the first round), Gabrovo, Pernik (in the first round), Pleven, Plovdiv, Sliven, Smolyan, Stara Zagora (still in the first round), Haskovo and Targovishte (on the first round).
The mayor of Montana Zlatko Zhivkov from MK SDS (GERB, BND, VMRO-BND and ZNS) was elected for a new management mandate in the first round.
The PP-DB coalition won the mayoral elections in Sofia, Blagoevgrad, Varna and Pazardzhik.
BSP for Bulgaria wins the mayoral race in Ruse and Shumen.
Tsvetan Tsenkov, supported by SDS, NDSV and Novoto vreme, remains mayor of Vidin for another term.
Yordan Yordanov was elected mayor of Dobrich, supported by MK DBG (DBG, ITN, NDSV, SSD, GN and VMRO-BND).
In Kyustendil, the long-time mayor Petar Paunov surrendered power, and the elections were won by Ognyan Atanasov, supported by the Green Party.
And Lovech will have a new mayor in the person of Stracimir Petkov, supported by the parties “There is such a people” and “Bulgarian Rise”.
Independent candidate Dobrin Dobrev was elected mayor of Razgrad.
In Silistra, the independent candidate Alexander Sabanov won the mayoral elections.
