Bruce Dickinson’s tour for his new solo album The Mandrake Project includes Bulgaria with a concert at Arena Sofia, Stolichen Colodrum, on July 16, 2024.
Tickets for the concert of one of the most characteristic vocalists in the history of heavy metal go on presale for Fest Club members on November 8 at 12:00 on ticketstation.bg, and on general sale on November 10, again at 12:00.
After Bruce Dickinson surprised the entire rock and metal world in September by announcing an upcoming solo album and tour dates in Latin America, today we can also confirm a concert date in Bulgaria, as well as additional details about The Mandrake Project.
Bruce Dickinson and five other world rock musicians arrived in Sofia for a unique event with the music of John Lord
The first single from it will be “Afterglow of Ragnarok” – an anticipated dramatic and epic track that introduces fans not only to the sound of the album, but also to the fascinating story behind The Mandrake Project.
The song is out on December 1st on a collectible 7-inch LP, accompanied by an eight-page comic. The single also features Dickinson’s original solo demo version of “If Eternity Should Fail”, which first appeared on Iron Maiden’s 2015 album The Book Of Souls.
Having already announced dates in Brazil and Mexico for April and May next year, Bruce Dickinson and his phenomenal band – featuring guitarist Roy Z, drummer Dave Moreno, bassist Tanya O’Callaghan and keyboard maestro Mishteria – continue their tour with a series of European concerts, part of which is the Sofia date – July 16, 2024.
“This album has been a very personal journey for me and I’m extremely proud of it. Roy Z and I have been planning, writing and recording it for years and I’m very excited that people will finally hear it.
I’m even more excited at the prospect of going out and presenting it with this amazing band and live! Obviously we’re going to play as many shows as possible, in as many places as possible, for as many people as possible!”
The Mandrake Project will be Dickinson’s seventh solo album and his first since 2005’s Tyranny Of Souls, and will be released by BMG worldwide.
