A psychologist compared politicians to a cult line from a famous BG movie

If something doesn’t fundamentally change our ideas about the meaning of participation in elections, things will get worse.

This opinion was expressed to the BNR by the social psychologist Assoc. Nikolay Dimitrov and specified:

“In these elections, we saw another episode of a trend of decreasing voters’ interest in participating in the vote, induced by politicians. Because politicians behave like that parent who promises his child a bicycle, but another time, until he finally tells himself that there is no point in hoping and to participate in this game of his parent”.

according to him in Bulgaria there is a withdrawal of voters, why do they not see the point of voting:

“They don’t see the direct benefit of it for themselves. … The little man is the focus of attention in all local elections. The big people don’t need someone working to improve their lives like the little man has.”
