I have known for a long time that “Continuing the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” will demand the resignation of Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov. We have information that he was pressured by them in the elections to work in favor of PP-DB. I found out from people on his team that he didn’t and that’s why they’re asking for his resignation. This was commented by the chairman of the PG of the DPS Delyan Peevski.
“For a person who did not interfere in the elections, and the Ministry of the Interior has done its job – it is absurd to ask for his resignation”, he added.
PP-DB demanded the resignation of Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov
When asked about the fate of the cabinet, Peevski answered: “Let’s see what they will come up with. If PP-DB are with “Vazrazhdane” and BSP and are one coalition – let them vote whatever they want. When I look at Varna and the project being prepared in Sofia – they are together. There is nothing shameful about saying it to each other”, insisted the chairman of the PG of the DPS.
“Yesterday Kostadin Kostadinov said that there is a wedding and they are the bride. And he said he had taken our bride. I didn’t think we were taking this bride – may it be halal! Let him take it!”, added Peevski.
“I hope colleagues this evening will read the signs and not spoil the Euro-Atlantic parliamentary majority”. Peevski made this appeal to PP-DB on Thursday. What is the balance sheet today, he clarified: “I think these people can’t read anything.”
The case study “Lukoil”
“The film with Lukoil will end anyway. We are filing reports for investigation today. Sanctions have been violated, there will be arrests for sure – I am convinced of that. If there is a prosecutor’s office and services to do their job. We will signal with indisputable data”, stressed the chairman of the PG of the DPS.
Peevski commented that if the responsible institutions are not subject to PP-DB and the government, they will do their job. However, if this did not happen and in the presence of indisputable data, resignations would already be demanded everywhere.
Riots in Sofia at the protest
Peevski is categorical that the mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, is “absolutely guilty”, as is the minister of sports. “These ultras were super aggressive. What were the policemen supposed to do at that moment – let themselves be beaten, killed? They threw stones, wanted to beat policemen and could kill them. I firmly stand behind the actions of the guys from the Ministry of the Interior. Either there will be a country or there won’t be. There cannot be such riots which are initiated by the state. The mayor of Sofia and the sports minister are to blame,” he emphasized.
