Roy Keane did not fail to show his unwavering criticism after Manchester United’s FA Cup semi-final against Coventry City. The Red Devils progressed to the final on penalties, squandering a three-goal lead in regular time after Ellis Sims, Callum O’Hare and Hadji Wright were on target for the Sky Blues to send the game into extra time. Coventry could even have won them, but Victor Thorpe’s goal was disallowed in the dying minutes due to an extremely thin line and VAR intervention.

Despite progressing to the final, Man United’s legendary midfielder Roy Keane blamed almost all the players for what was shown at Wembley. “The only one who showed character was Harry Maguire. I don’t see character in the other players. I was looking at the goalkeeper, well, he was slowing down the time. Play this game, show courage. I don’t like anything about this United team,” the Irishman said on national television.

“They’re complicated to like. They play at times. Good thing they got lucky in the end as there is no character in this team. Coventry City looked like a Premier League team, while Man United looked like a Championship team, not the other way around,” added the former midfielder in Sir Alex Ferguson’s team.
