Barcelona can ask for a replay of El Clasico, as the president of the team, Joan Laporta, announced a few minutes ago in a special press conference. The reasons are the referee’s mistakes. “We have asked the Spanish Football Federation to provide us with all the images and all the audio recordings of Lamin Yamal’s disallowed goal. If it is a regular goal, we do not rule out asking for a replay of the match. If it is confirmed that it was a legal goal – as we believe it was – we will certainly go further and ask for a replay, as happened in a European game due to a clear VAR error. Not only do I want to express our displeasure at the mismanagement of VAR that happened yesterday, but I also want to emphasize that although it is a tool we have used for some time, it still causes confusion and conflicting standards.” Laporta said.
“I want all the images and audio recordings! We will analyze the whole match against Real Madrid. We will put every possibility to reverse the situation, including any legal action that may be necessary. We will go further, we are not ruling anything out,” Laporta also threatened, who just tried to protect his club.
In the 28th minute of El Clasico, Yamal’s goal was disallowed, as there is no technology implemented in LA Liga to detect whether the ball has crossed the goal line or not.
