Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev accepted the post of Minister of Foreign Affairs from Stefan Dimitrov, who was the first diplomat for only a few days.

In the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Glavchev also held a working meeting with the management staff of the department.

“I rely on your professionalism in daily work”, pointed out the Prime Minister and singled out the holding of fair elections as a leading priority of the official cabinet.

Glavchev announced that he would appoint him as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivan Kondovwho was the Minister of Foreign Affairs in the office of Galab Donev.

Kondov is expected to be responsible for the organization of elections abroad.

He was appointed permanent secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Svetlan Stoevwho was foreign minister in Stefan Yanev’s office.

Both are career diplomats with extensive experience.

The caretaker prime minister also became the foreign minister after losing his confidence in Stefan Dimitrov.

The official reason for this was communication difficulties with him on the night of the Iranian attack on Israel.

President Rumen Radev refused to appoint the deputy chairman of GERB Daniel Mitov as a minister, but despite his reservations he issued a decree for the appointment of Glavchev.

On Tuesday, it became clear that Glavchev’s foreign policy advisor Meglena Plugchieva is leaving just a few days after joining his team.
