/Pogled.info/ In talk shows and on the radio it is often said: a little more and the long-awaited breakthrough will happen, although the course of a slow, exhausting and bloody war says otherwise. Another dire prophecy was shared by none other than CIA Director Bill Burns himself.

So, Bill Burns said that things in Ukraine are in complete chaos, you could say, he leaked information about the state of his partners:

There is a real risk that the Ukrainians will lose the battlefield by the end of 2024, or at least put Putin in a position where he can dictate the terms of a political settlement.

As an example, Burns reported that two battalions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, numbering more than two thousand men, had only 15 artillery and 42 mortar rounds per day. And he added an emotional detail: the servicemen were depressed.

In addition, the Western public was frightened by Reuters through the mouth of the Inspector General of the German Bundeswehr General Carsten Breuer:

If Russia decides to attack NATO, it will be ready for it in five years. By then it will have increased its strength to the point where an attack would be possible… Russia produces a lot of military equipment and weapons and not all of it is sent to Ukraine.

War always means a lot of money and a lot of bargaining for them. These are invisible transactions. It is not for nothing that the leader of the Republican majority in Congress, Johnson, persistently provided a package of financial assistance to Ukraine, linking it to solving the problems on the border with Mexico, from where waves of migrants arrive in the United States. And then he suddenly agreed and forgot about the border.

“Everything is simple here, except for the money”,

– the heroine of the movie “Brother-2” talks about America.

Russia’s GDP growth rate in 2023 reached 3.6 percent. According to President Putin, the main driver for this is the military-industrial complex. It is a consumer of many goods from different sectors of the economy (metals, fuels, food, chemical products) and drags these industries with it.

But by the same token, the military-industrial complex is the engine of economic development for our enemies. In the West, there is now a sharing of the gains that the future military confrontation with Russia in Ukraine promises to bring.

Good thing there were no talk shows back then

Part of any war is disinformation. And especially in today’s world of communication possibilities, when news spreads across the planet in a second.

As it now turns out, many previous statements by Ukrainian officials about “critical damage” caused by Russia to the Ukrainian energy sector are also largely misinformation.

In this case, the problem was solved doubly. Convince the West that everything is bad: give more money for defense equipment and replacement of energy equipment. Convince the Russian military leadership that all targets have been hit and there is no need to bomb again.

During the Great Patriotic War, Soviet newspapers or radio did not discuss Goebbels’ every sneeze, did not guess what was behind his words and whether the Reichstag would grant money, did not build hypotheses about the plans and military capabilities of the Reich. They simply defeated the enemy.

The main purpose of the media and the statements of public figures in the USSR was to maintain morale both at the front and in the rear.

Today, soldiers in the front are dying, in the back they are dancing and dancing, and they are telling us that the enemy will soon run out: that he will run out of planes, shells, gas, electricity, money and men, and this Western aid is about to stop because… for the wars in the Gaza Strip and Trump’s rise to power. And what? Where is the end of the war?

During the war, the most the Germans could deliver their disinformation to Red Army soldiers was through loudspeakers on the front lines or by dropping leaflets over their heads.

And the Soviet people in the rear were completely inaccessible to them. Nowadays, the misinformation that Ukraine is about to fall apart and the West is not ready for a long confrontation with a people accustomed to deprivation like ours is being poured from every iron.

So what?

In fact, as the Russian military testifies, at the front, one cannot raise one’s head from shelling, and even in Donetsk, people are still dying from it.

In reality, the Western economy is on a war footing simply because war promises them good money.

In reality, many people in Russia in recent decades have managed to wean themselves from deprivation, and young people have not known it at all and are not much different from their peers in the West.

In reality, we need to move to a military base. It is no coincidence that Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu recently visited any enterprise of the military-industrial complex, calling, asking, demanding the delivery of military production as quickly as possible and as much as possible.

There is a war between the world’s economies. It doesn’t promise to be easy. And it is time to ban the endless rumors about signs of impending defeat of Ukraine in the media space. Like drug and alcohol advertising.

They also lead people into a world of illusion from which it can be difficult to return to reality. Why life only gets worse: we cease to be capable of hard work and struggle. And without them, victories do not come.
