The photo of Kotsev with Angelkova was distributed along with the investigation into a criminal group for money laundering and smuggling in customs, which led to the arrest of former head of customs Petya Bankova and Marin Dimitrov and his son Stefan. After that, Kotsev was exposed for his connections with Dimitrovi, and his photos with the two men were also published, and although he first testified as a witness, he was then brought in as an accused and released from his post.

“Stefan Dimitrov’s girlfriend described him as an outspoken person who likes to advertise his acquaintances. It became clear that there was a conversation between him and Petya Bankova, who warned him to be more selective and not to make such a broad statement of their acquaintance.” , added Petrova.
