BSP also signed the demand for the resignation of Rosen Zhelyazkov

We submitted the request for the resignation of the Speaker of the National Assembly Rosen Zhelyazkov. In addition to deputies from PP-DB, it was also signed by people’s representatives from “BSP for Bulgaria”. This was announced to journalists in Pazardzhik by the co-chairman of “We continue the change” (PP) Asen Vassilev.

“The request for the resignation of Rosen Zhelyazkov was submitted with the clear reasons that he abused his official position quite a few times – National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), where he had withdrawn his resignation, the person was in the hall and he was not even given the opportunity to explain that has withdrawn his resignation. Overall, we show a “red card” to GERB for the work in the last three months,” said the co-chairman of “We continue the change” Kiril Petkov.

In a press release, the PP announced that “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria” (PP-DB) found that the Speaker of the National Assembly was abusing power and authority, and was working in the interest of the GERB-DPS political bloc.

The specific reasons for the proposed decision are: violation of the procedure for early termination of the mandate of the manager of the National Health Insurance Fund – Stanimir Mihailov; systematic abuse of the right under Art. 48, para. 5 of the Civil Code; violations during parliamentary control under Art. 105 of the Civil Code, the announcement states.

“Continuing the Change – Democratic Bulgaria” will not stop fighting for Bulgaria to become a normal European country. GERB receives a clear message that it cannot stop the working institutions that the entire Bulgarian people expect, the formation states.
