Bozhankov: The removal of Rosen Zhelyazkov is not a personal revenge for Nikola Minchev

This was stated by the MP from “Continuing the Change-Democratic Bulgaria”

The ousting of Rosen Zhelyazkov from the post of Speaker of the National Assembly is not a personal revenge for the fact that the same people some time ago ousted Nikola Minchev. Nor is it a demonstration of the majority. Yavor Bozhankov, the MP from “Continuing the Change-Democratic Bulgaria”, assured this in the “Hello, Bulgaria” studio.

They removed Rosen Zhelyazkov as chairman of the National Assembly

“Rosen Zhelyazkov was elected by a majority with a very clear mandate – 9 months. After that, he had to resign and a PP-DB representative became the speaker of the parliament. We immediately asked for it, but we did not receive it”, noted the deputy. According to Bozhankov, the reason was rooted in the fact that GERB wanted to impose their agenda in the National Assembly. “Zhelyazkov was the instrument for this to happen”, emphasized the national representative.

According to him, GERB wanted to include a third partner in the management where there was no mathematical need for it. “Perhaps one of the ideas of going to elections is that it is impossible without a third party”, pointed out Yavor Bozhankov.

He did not want to say clearly with whom the PP-DB would form a coalition after the June 9 vote, but admitted that the coalition would seek a majority for certain reforms. The deputy also stated that the door of PP-DB is open for GERB, but metaphorically emphasized that two bigger people hardly pass through it.
