A man and a woman drowned near Tsarevo and Sinemorets, the police said.
One incident was in the area of the “Nestinarka” campsite near Tsarevo. Lifeguards guarding the beach retrieved the body of a 21-year-old man from Sofia who entered the sea a little earlier.
The man’s body was taken for an autopsy to the “Forensic Medicine” department at UMBAL-Burgas. On August 25, around 9:20 a.m. in the area of ”Butamyata” beach in the village of Sinemorets, rescuers guarding the beach pulled out of the water a 28-year-old Ukrainian tourist who entered Bulgaria on August 21 and stayed in the village.
Despite the resuscitation aid provided for 50 minutes, the woman died. It was established that the tourist was accompanied by her 8-year-old son and 16-year-old sister, who also entered the sea, but four lifeguards managed to pull them ashore and save them from drowning.
The body of the Ukrainian tourist was taken for an autopsy to the “Forensic Medicine” department at UMBAL-Burgas.
