Zelensky accuses Russia of trying to flood his hometown

The Russians hit Kryvyi Rih with X-22 cruise missiles from strategic aircraft. This was announced by Valentin Reznichenko, head of the military administration of the Ukrainian Dnipropetrovsk region, quoted by Ukrinform.

It is Kryvyi Rih the hometown of the Ukrainian president.

According to Reznichenko, several areas there are left without water.

The blows were on objects of the critical and transport infrastructure, the thermal power plant, having seriously damaged the hydrotechnical facilities and dam wall of the Karachunov reservoir.

The deputy head of the presidential office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko reported that at the scene of the attack there is an outflow of water at a rate of 100 million cubic meters per second.

He promised the liberation of Crimea

“This is a significant volume. The water level in the Ingulets River changes every hour,” Tymoshenko said on her Telegram channel.

According to him, the water level on the streets of the city is constantly monitored by special posts, they are also monitoring private houses in the Ingulets and Central City districts of the city, where there is a risk of flooding.

“This is a challenge for all of us, but the situation is under control. All services are committed to eliminating the threat as soon as possible,” Tymoshenko stressed.

“The terrorist country continues to wage war against civilians. This time it is about rocket attacks against hydrotechnical facilities and an attempt to flood Kryvyi Rih. The only thing the occupiers can do is to spread panic, create an emergency, try to leave people without light, heat, water and food,” Zelensky said.

Ukrainians will not be broken by such blows, but Russia will pay the price.

“Will he be able to break us? Not at all,” declared the president and added that they should expect a just answer and retribution.

Zelensky warned of a new tactic of Russia

Ukraine has restored electricity

We remind you that earlier on Wednesday Zelensky visited the recently liberated city of Izyum, where he participated in the ceremonial raising of the national flag.

On September 10, Ukrainian troops entered there during a large-scale counteroffensive. The Russian military said that as a result of “regrouping” she withdrew her troops from the city.

The capture of Izyum by Ukrainian units likely impaired the ability of Russian forces to launch artillery strikes along the Izyum-Slavyansk highway. The Ukrainian General Staff noted that Russian forces did not launch artillery strikes in the direction of Slavyansk on September 12, possibly referring to settlements northwest of Slavyansk on the E40 highway.
