Mercedes shakedowns its 2023 F1 W14 car. The car was unveiled earlier today at a ceremony at Silverstone Circuit. The shakedown of the car was also on the English track. George Russell sat behind the wheel first.
According to unconfirmed reports, the Mercedes F1 W14 shakedown did not go smoothly
The team had misfires and engine failures. Mercedes knew that they would have such concerns. The propulsion system was sent to Brixworth for repair. The team feared that there could be a repeat of the problems.
It is also said that the situation occurred due to a fault in the installation of the drive system. However, the problem was solvable. For now, these are just rumors. Mercedes will hold a film day at Silverstone tomorrow.

“It was an uneventful day, but it’s hard to say anything concrete. Last year we had no idea after the shakedown. The weather was too bad then. But even today’s results should be taken with caution. The real test will be in Bahrain. “Whatever we want to achieve, it’s a bit pointless to count on days like today,” Russell added.
Earlier today Lewis Hamilton said the team were anxiously awaiting the first laps of the F1 W14 on track to see how it behaved

We are all a little nervous before going out on the track, which will show how the car behaves. And let’s also see who where (in the lineup).”
