The head coach of Levski Nikolay Kostov was visibly disappointed after the 2:2 draw with Krumovgrad and stated that it was difficult for his team to implement their game on such a field as that of the sports complex “Nikola Shterev-Starika”.
“Today, I think our team made maximum efforts to adapt to the pitch and the opponent’s game. Although we conceded a goal, we took the lead, I don’t know why for almost the whole second half, except for the last minutes, our players were emotionless. I can’t to understand I haven’t spoken to them yet. Very tough game. We expected it. We couldn’t adapt to the opponent’s game and the pitch. The opening minutes of the second half were at a very low level. Let’s hope that next time when we play at we will be better on such a pitch – maybe I have a mistake in the lineup too. We can’t apply our game on such a pitch, it can’t be done,” said Kostov.
“All matches are difficult. We are Levski and against us everyone plays to the limit of their capabilities. Eter’s team is well organized. I think that on our field with the help of the public we will be the better team and we should not get too excited that we will meet a well-organized team”, added the coach of the “blues”.
“Every lost point is important. I guess for all the teams that are fighting for the top spots,” concluded Kostov.
