The champion Denver Nuggets achieved their fifth victory since the beginning of the season – 125:114 over the Dallas Mavericks in Colorado in a game of the new NBA In-Season tournament.
It was the first meeting between Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic for the current campaign, and in the end, the Joker came out victorious. The Serbian played an extremely strong game and led his team to success.
He got the house on its feet with a 3-pointer late in the second quarter, but that was just a fraction of his good plays.
Jokic finished the game with 33 points and 10 assists. He also grabbed 14 rebounds and helped out defensively with 1 steal and 1 block. We must say that Luka Doncic also shone with 34 points, but a smaller number of rebounds and assists. The victory was for Denver and Jokic in the first game of the new tournament.
