Bayern Munich won with 4:0 Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker. Harry Kane scored a hat-trick for the Bavarians, and the rout started in the 4th minute when Dayo Upamecano scored with a header.
With the victory, Bayern came within two points of the leader Bayer Leverkusen (26 for the Munich team against 28 for the “aspirins”).
The “yellow and black” remain in the Champions League zone. Westphalia are fourth with 21 points, their first loss of the season.
The win is the ninth in the last 10 games for Bayern against Borussia Dortmund.
After only 4 minutes of play, Bayern Munich took the lead. Dayo Upamecano escaped his personal guard Niko Schlotterbeck and headed Gregor Kobel from 4-5 meters.
By the 10th minute, the score was already 0:2. Musiala won a lot of ground through the center and found Sane behind Hummels, and the winger in turn fed the ball to Kane into an empty net. It was no problem for the Englishman to double on a half-empty goal.
Twice afterwards, the ambush saved Borussia from further problems. First one was marked against Sane, who came out alone against Kobel and although the Swiss intervened, he was far from thwarting the danger in front of his goal. Harry Kane also found himself in an offside position in the 30th minute when he shot diagonally and found the post, after which the ball fell to Sane.
At the very end of the half, the “yellow and black” looked bolder at the goal of their guest. Doniel Mallen’s shot from about 20 meters flew over the crossbar.
However, the second half got off to a worrying start for Borussia – Musiala went one-on-one with Kobel and, luckily for all the home fans, fired a shot into the body of Kobel.
Dortmund pressure followed and in the 56th Neuer saved a dangerous Marco Reus shot.
Just two minutes later, however, Sane was a step away from a goal for the Munich team, but this time the Borussia guard reflected.
In the 64th, Kobel distinguished himself again with an important intervention, and now Musiala was in front of him.
A series of dangerous attacks by the Bavarians still led to a goal in the 73rd. Coman then brought Kane face to face with Kobel, who this time failed to do anything – 3:0 for the champion.
Deep into added time, Harry Kane was brought behind the “yellow and black” defense and with a clinical finishing shot he made the result for Dortmund mind-boggling – 0:4.
