CSKA’s summer signing Matthias Phaeton will start as a starter in the third game in a row, after scoring the team’s winning goal with a nice break from the left in the previous match with Eter. The national of Guadeloupe has been directly involved in the last three goals of the army – assisted and scored against Pirin in Blagoevgrad when he came on as a reserve, and accounted for an important action in attack in Veliko Tarnovo. In those matches, the 23-year-old was used on the left side of midfield. He started the season as a starter, but gradually dropped out of Nestor El Maestro’s starting XI because he adapted too slowly, “Tema Sport” writes. However, his time on the bench seems to have had a positive effect and he is perhaps the only Reds player to show progress in recent weeks.
It is curious in which position Phaeton will start, with this question mark also related to the replacement of the punished South in the front line of the defense. If Lindseth plays there, as happened in the last 30 minutes of the match in Veliko Tarnovo, most likely Phaeton will stay on the left of the midfield, and Heinz will be behind the forwards.
There is an option, however, instead of Juga starting one between Vion and Shakic, and Heinz returning to the starters in his usual position on the left. Then the highest in the central diamond will be Lindseth. Phaeton will partner with Estrada at the top of the attack.
