The Bulgarian Football Union released the national under-15 coach Kaloyan Georgiev due to “unsatisfactory results”. Recently, our team suffered two heavy losses against Slovenians with a total score of 1:8, but before that, Georgiev’s alumni were undefeated in 9 consecutive matches, in which 8 victories were recorded.
Here is what Georgiev shared on Facebook:
“I am obliged to share results of my work in the U15 national team for the last nearly 1.5 years, because certain media published that the glass was overflowing after the two embarrassing losses with the aggregate score of 1:8 against Slovenia and how I am one of the most the big sinners, because I lost two friendly matches to the newly formed team born in 2009 and there was no development. I want to thank the few people from the Bulgarian Football Union who believed in me, helped me and made me think about my career development.
I will refer to the principle, where you have eaten white bread, you should not spit.
I am glad that I had the opportunity to feel the atmosphere of the international stage with the coat of arms on my chest.
As they say, that’s how it is in football! (BG Football)”.
