The specialized publication for financial research “Forbes” has published the latest ranking, which refers to the earnings of football players in the past year. Ronaldo is definitely the first with an income of an incredible 260 million euros, of which 200 million are from the contract he has with Al Nasser and 60 million from commercial contracts, which the Portuguese charges dearly from the companies he represents.
Just for comparison, Messi has almost half the income of Ronaldo in 2023, the Argentine has 75 million euros from Inter Miami and another 70 million from sponsorship contracts. In third place in this ranking is Neymar, who has a total of 112 million euros in income (80 million from Al Hilal and 32 from sponsorship contracts).
Last year’s leader in this ranking, Kylian Mbappe, is in fourth place this time with a total of 110 million euros in revenue.
In the last 10 years of the Forbes ranking, Cristiano Ronaldo has been the highest paid footballer in the world six times, Leo Messi has topped the list three times, while this distinction has gone to Mbappe once (last year).
