“We were offered Sebastian in September. We analyzed the legal part with our lawyers and for us he is a free agent who has terminated his contract with Boca and we can bring him in. There was no call from Boca. We understand that there is a risk for the club and we take him for top player. There is a termination with the club by the player, then FIFA will decide. We believe he terminated his contract with Boca with good reason and is a free agent. I don’t see any reason for Beroe to consult with any club , much less with FIFA,” Banato said.
“We have not spoken to Boca. The negotiations were with the people who represent him and directly with the player. We understand that there is a risk for the club and we take it. We trust and believe that all the legal part and all the people who work with us and who work with the player, did things right”.
A player like Sebastian will have a huge impact on Beroe, the league and the country. We took into account his legal situation within the framework of the contract and what is happening with him,” said Banato.
