Experienced 33-year-old goalkeeper David De Gea is close to a surprise transfer, leading Spanish media reports. De Gea is close to a deal with Spanish second division club Eldense.
This is a very ambitious club, currently in 11th position in the Spanish Segunda, and the club’s aim is to finish in the top 6 and participate in the play-off for the Spanish La Liga by the end of the season.
Florian Andone, Jesus Clemente, Arnau Ortiz, Alex Bernal, Miguel Mari, Alex Martinez, Pina play for Eldense.
De Gea will sign a contract until the summer of 2025, and in case the club wins a place in the elite, the contract will be extended with additional bonuses.
The Spanish media also point out that De Gea’s medical examinations separate him from signing the contract and everything should be clear by the end of this week.
